BANGKOK: Hoping to inspire more Thais to recycle plastic waste, two local companies have teamed up to make Buddhist amulets by using nine types of recyclable materials ranging from plastic bottles to nylon fishing nets.
Predominantly Buddhist Thailand is estimated to be the fifth-biggest contributor of plastic to the world's oceans, according to a report by the US-based group Ocean Conservancy.
"The idea of the plastic amulet is a result of finding a connection between the environment and Thai culture," said Krit Phutpim, a director at Dots Design Studio, one of the companies behind the project launched at Bangkok's design week exhibition.
Thai amulets with Buddhist imagery are extremely popular in the Southeast Asian country and many hope they will enhance their spirituality and bring them good fortune.
The Buddha amulet launched this week has the Thai word for "awareness" on the back to remind people to be conscious that their daily consumption should not harm the environment, said Teerachai Suppameteekulwat, the founder of the other company behind the project Qualy Design.
The amulets, which have been blessed by monks, are distributed in exchange for at least a 1 kg (2.2 lb) of plastic or a minimum of 100 baht ($3.07) for each amulet with the money going to various charities.
The project has generated some controversy on social media, with questions about whether an amulet should be made from recycled materials.
Typically, amulets are made from materials such as bone, wood or metal. They may contain, for example, the ash from incense burnt at a temple or hair from a monk that are thought to further increase the wearer's powers.
For one exhibition goer, the idea of giving recycled material a new use attracted her to the amulet.
"I brought in 1.8 kilogrammes of plastic bottles. I want to give it a new life," said 33-year-old exhibition goer, Paramapon Suthichavengkul. Reuters

The use of plain language without dumbing down the topic was really well done, and a look at nightnarrative continued in that same accessible style, this is something many technical writers fail at because they either confuse their readers or condescend to them but here neither problem appears at all which is impressive really.

I have read so many posts about the blogger lovers except this
article is really a good article, keep it up.

Long time lurker here, thought I would drop what I look at before signing up anywhere. After getting burned once or twice I stopped going by ads alone.
First thing is the licence: check who regulates the site, and whether they actually accept players from your country. Next come deposits and withdrawals: I want at least one fast e-wallet option, and cashout times should be listed up front.
Bonuses are the tricky part. Wagering of 35x or 40x is normal, and some games count less towards it. A decent independent write-up with the current terms can be found here Lilibet Casino so you know what you are signing up for.
I play almost only on my phone, and if there is an app I make sure it comes from the official page. Ask support one simple question first: a real human reply beats a bot loop.
Anyway, that is my routine. Set a budget and stick to it.

Been reading this board for a while, but I figured I would share what I look at before signing up anywhere. After trying maybe a dozen sites I learned to read the small print first.
First thing is the licence: find the licence number and look it up, because some sites quietly block certain regions. Then payments: I want at least one fast e-wallet option, and the withdrawal limits need to be written clearly.
The welcome offer is where most people get caught. Read the wagering and the max bet rule, and the bonus usually expires in a week or two. A useful overview with bonus rules, app info and payment methods is here play at Craybet before you deposit anything.
I play almost only on my phone, and a good site loads fast and does not log you out every five minutes. Support matters too: if they answer in a couple of minutes that is a good sign.
Anyway, that is my routine. Set a budget and stick to it.

Been reading this board for a while, so here is my short checklist for choosing a casino site. After a few bad experiences I learned to read the small print first.
Licence comes first for me: see which authority is listed in the footer, and if your country is on the allowed list. After that I look at banking: card, e-wallets and bank transfer should all be there, and cashout times should be listed up front.
The welcome offer is where most people get caught. Wagering of 35x or 40x is normal, and live tables often do not count at all. A useful overview with bonus rules, app info and payment methods is worth a read here official site before you deposit anything.
I play almost only on my phone, and a good site loads fast and does not log you out every five minutes. Test the live chat before depositing: slow or scripted answers usually mean trouble later.
That is about it. Only play with money you can afford to lose.

In the middle of an otherwise scattered day this post landed as a moment of focus, and a stop at warehousewave extended that focused feeling across more pages, content that anchors a fragmented day rather than contributing to the fragmentation is content with real centring effect and this site is providing that anchoring function for me.

Mostly a reader, rarely post, thought I would drop my short checklist for choosing a casino site. After a few bad experiences I learned to read the small print first.
I always start with licensing: find the licence number and look it up, because some sites quietly block certain regions. Then payments: card, e-wallets and bank transfer should all be there, and cashout times should be listed up front.
Never judge a site by the bonus alone. Wagering of 35x or 40x is normal, and some games count less towards it. A decent independent write-up with the current terms is worth a read here ice casino logowanie and it saved me some time.
I play almost only on my phone, and a good site loads fast and does not log you out every five minutes. Support matters too: if they answer in a couple of minutes that is a good sign.

Vague feelings of recognition kept surfacing as I read because the writing names things I have been thinking, and a look at oceanoutfitters produced more of those recognition moments, content that gives shape to private intuitions is content that makes me feel less alone in my own thinking and this site has that effect.
PabloLut
Now appreciating the small but real way this post improved my afternoon, and a stop at canyonstonegalleria extended that small improvement effect, content that produces measurable positive impact on the texture of a reading day is content with real value and this site is producing those small positive impacts at a sustainable rate apparently.
Rickfraps
Genuine reaction is that this site clicked with how I like to read, and a look at walnutcovevault kept that comfortable fit going, sometimes you find a place online whose editorial decisions just align with your preferences and when that happens it is worth recognising and supporting through repeat engagement consistently going forward.
CecilCow
This stands out compared to similar posts I have read recently, less noise and more substance, and a look at skybrookmarketfoundry kept that gap going, you can really feel the difference between content made by someone who cares versus content made to fill a publishing schedule for an algorithm trying to keep growing somehow.
Davidimmob
Bookmark added without hesitation after finishing, and a look at berrystoneoutpost confirmed I should bookmark the homepage too rather than just this page, the rare site that earns category level trust rather than just single article approval is the kind I want to rely on across many different topics over time.
BertZoste
Just sat back at the end of the post and felt grateful that someone took the time to write it, and a look at silvercovevault extended that gratitude across more of the site, recognising effort behind quality work is part of what makes the open web a community rather than just a marketplace today.
BoydPease
Quietly the post solved something I had been turning over without quite knowing how to phrase the question, and a look at echobrookvault extended that quiet solving, content that addresses unformulated needs is content with reader insight and this site has demonstrated that insight at a high rate across the pieces I have read recently.

Now thinking the topic is more interesting than I had given it credit for, and a stop at lemoncovecommerceatelier continued that elevated interest, content that revives my curiosity about subjects I had set aside is doing genuine work in the structure of my interests and this site is providing that revivifying effect today actually.
Nathanhow
Loved the writing voice here, friendly without being fake and confident without being arrogant, and a stop at dunestonegalleria carried the same tone forward, the kind of personality that makes a reader feel welcome rather than lectured at which is a balance plenty of writers struggle to find no matter how long they have been at it.
LeviCiz
Now appreciating that the post left me with enough to say in a follow up conversation, and a look at cottonmeadowoutpost added more material for those follow ups, content that prepares me for related conversations rather than just informing me alone is content with social utility and this site provides that social armament reliably for me.
JadonHem
Walked away in a slightly better mood than when I started reading, that says something about the writing, and a stop at junipercovevault kept that going, content that leaves you feeling more capable rather than overwhelmed is the kind I keep coming back to again and again over the years and across many topics.
Cartergob
A relief to read something where I did not have to fact check every claim mentally, and a look at baycovecommerceatelier continued that reliable feeling, sites where I can lower my guard and trust the content are rare and this one is earning that trust paragraph by paragraph through consistent careful work behind the scenes.
KalePiext
Closed it feeling I had taken something away rather than just consumed something, and a stop at mintorchardtrading extended that taking away feeling, the difference between content I extract value from and content I just pass through is something I track informally and this site is consistently in the value extraction column for me.
Trenttax
Refreshing to read something where the words actually mean something instead of filling space, and a stop at orchardharbortrading kept that going, the writing here trusts the reader to follow along without endless repetition or constant reminders of what was already said earlier in the post which I appreciate.
DexterPhamy
Now recognising the specific pleasure of reading writing that shows real care for sentence shapes, and a look at mintbrookvendorfoundry extended that craft pleasure, sentence level writing quality is something most blog content ignores entirely and this site has clearly invested in the prose layer alongside the substance which is rare today.
LarryLiaky
A piece that handled the topic with appropriate weight without becoming portentous, and a look at lemonstoneoutpost continued that calibrated seriousness, content that takes itself seriously without becoming pompous is something this site has clearly figured out and the balance shows up in every piece I have read across multiple sessions now.
SterlingDiedo
Now realising the post solved a small problem I had been carrying for weeks, and a look at creekstoneemporium extended that problem solving function, content that connects to specific unresolved questions in my own life rather than just providing general interest is content with real practical impact and this site is providing that practical value.

Hi there, I do believe your web site could possibly be having
internet browser compatibility problems. Whenever I look at your blog in Safari, it
looks fine however, if opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping issues.
I merely wanted to provide you with a quick heads
up! Aside from that, wonderful blog!

Worth saying that the writing carries a particular kind of authority without making any explicit claims to it, and a stop at coralharborvault extended that earned authority feeling, sites that demonstrate expertise through the quality of their explanations rather than by stating credentials are sites I trust most and this site has it.

Reading this site over the past week has changed how I evaluate content in this space, and a look at dunecoveoutlet extended that recalibration, the standards I bring to reading on the topic have shifted upward as a direct result of regular exposure to this kind of work and that shift will outlast any single reading session.
