Have you ever sailed far away into the blue oceans? Was there something fascinating that caught your attention while sailing? Most of us probably expect to spot a whale, taking a plunge into the air, or a group of dolphins marching along the waves, but unfortunately, for Yvan Bourgnon, the story was entirely different.
Meet Yvan Bourgnon, a seasoned yacht racer, who was so fed up with seeing floating mats of plastic garbage in coastal waters, that he built an ocean-cleaning sailboat that is propelled (fuelled) by the garbage it collects.
Dr. Emmet Brown was notorious for having succeeded in replacing his plutonium generator with an ordinary waste generator at the end of the movie Back to the Future. The Manta, like the DeLorean in the movie, uses garbage to power an electric motor that propels the large catamaran with the help of the sails.
Yvan Bourgnon is a skilled Franco-Swiss skipper who started sailing with his parents at the age of eight for a round-the-world trip, where he found the ocean he would never leave.
Yves Bourgnon's ocean-cleaning boat, named Manta, is the first offering from his Globally Acclaimed SeaCleaners Project, and with a width of 56-meters, it is conferred to be one of the largest waste-cleaning boats in the world.
Here is how the Manta gets fuelled by the Waste!
Manta is equipped with conveyor belts that collect garbage as small as 10 millimeters between the three pontoons, which the Manta glides over, while three trawl nets floating behind (to a depth of 1 metre to avoid harm to sea life) add to the onboard array.
This trash is then transported to a processing machine where crew people carry out the sorting process for the waste before pushing it inside an incinerator that shreds and melts the plastic – even using heat and gas – for power generation in a turbine.
With the 70% self-sufficiency in terms of energy, all thanks to solar panels on the decks and a wind turbine that harvests energy from the wind coming off the sails, Manta does the job of sailing around while pulling in 3 tonnes of waste per hour almost without ever having to return to harbour to refill or offload plastic.
“I have been travelling the oceans since I was 8 years old. I've seen them deteriorate, warm-up, acidify and become plasticised. I created the association The SeaCleaners to fight against this global scourge with the desire to create a revolutionary ship, a pioneer in the collection of plastic waste, the Manta. Today, The SeaCleaners are fighting on all fronts: awareness and prevention, the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the transition to a circular economy, and the collection of waste on land and at sea. With three watchwords to guide our approach: taking action, finding solutions, refusing resignation.” An excerpt from Yvan Bourgnon’s The SeaCleaners Project.
With The SeaCleaners, of which he is Chairman and Founder, he is taking on a new environmental challenge and wishes to develop an effective and concrete solution to combat plastic pollution in the seas: the Manta project.

I’ve been playing on Craybet for roughly two months now and figured I’d share my experience since I haven’t seen many posts about this place around here. Registered randomly one night and the whole process literally took 90 seconds. Minimum deposit is $10 and that’s normal for US-facing sites. They threw in a welcome bonus — 100% up to $500 plus 50 free spins on Sweet Bonanza. Rollover is 35x which could be lower but I’ve dealt with worse.
The game library is bigger than I expected. They’ve got games from Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, plus Play’n GO — so like Gates of Olympus, Gonzo’s Quest, that kind of thing. I’d guess maybe 1500-2000 slots when you add it all up. Live casino runs on Evolution and it’s legit — played some blackjack and Crazy Time with actual croupiers and zero lag issues.
Now the one thing I wasn’t thrilled about was payout speed. I used Visa and it took like a day and a half for my first withdrawal. After that though things sped up. You can use credit cards, Skrill, Neteller, and crypto so that covers most bases. You can look at the full bonus details on CrayBet if you’re interested.
Using Craybet on my phone was surprisingly good. No dedicated app — the web app loads fast and slots and live games work fine. I played a few sessions on the bus and no lag or glitches.
Support at Craybet is decent — they have live chat that gets you a person pretty quick usually. I contacted them about a bonus that didn’t credit and it was resolved within hours. Licensing is Curacao licensed which is standard for platforms like this. It’s not flawless — the bonus wagering could be lower — but as a daily player I’m still using it.

Been using Craybet for like a couple months and thought I’d throw out some thoughts because there’s not a ton of talk about it in this forum. Signed up after seeing an ad and signing up was like a couple minutes. Starting deposit was $10 which is about what you’d expect. I grabbed a sign-up bonus — 100 percent match to $500 and 50 free spins on Gates of Olympus. Rollover is 35x which is kinda average but I’ve dealt with worse.
Their slots catalog is bigger than I expected. They’ve got games from Pragmatic Play, Evolution, plus Big Time Gaming — meaning Gates of Olympus, Gonzo’s Quest, all the popular ones. Probably close to a couple thousand titles including table games. Live dealer stuff is powered by Evolution and it’s legit — tried blackjack and Crazy Time with actual croupiers and it worked great.
One thing that annoyed me a little was withdrawal times. Tried cashing out with Bitcoin and it took like a day and a half the first time. Second time around things sped up. They accept Visa, Mastercard, e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller, Bitcoin which is pretty much everything you’d want. I’d look at their current offers over at Craybet slots if you’re interested.
Using Craybet on mobile is actually smooth. No dedicated app but the mobile site runs well and everything works without issues. Played Book of Dead on my commute and didn’t notice any performance issues.
Customer service on Craybet has been okay — they have live chat that actually connects within a few minutes when I’ve used it. I contacted them about a bonus that didn’t credit and it was resolved same day. I think they’re Curacao licensed and that’s what most offshore casinos. It’s not flawless — wish they had more payment options — but overall it does the job for me.

I’ve been using Craybet for about six weeks or so and figured I’d share my experience because there’s not much discussion about them in this forum. I signed up on a whim and signing up literally took 90 seconds. Minimum deposit is ten bucks which is about what you’d expect. They threw in a sign-up bonus — 100% up to $500 and fifty free spins on Gates of Olympus. Playthrough requirements were 35 times the bonus which could be lower but it’s manageable.
The game library is bigger than I expected. There’s titles from Pragmatic Play, Betsoft, plus Big Time Gaming — so like Gates of Olympus, Starburst, the usual heavy hitters. Somewhere around 2000 games including table games. Live dealer stuff is powered by Evolution which is quality — played some blackjack and Crazy Time with actual croupiers and zero lag issues.
One thing that annoyed me a little was withdrawal times. Withdrew via Visa and waited about 48 hours the first time. Once you’re verified though it was faster. You can use credit cards, e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller, Bitcoin which is pretty much everything you’d want. You can check out what they’ve got going on at Craybet payout to see for yourself.
Mobile experience on Craybet on my phone was surprisingly good. There’s no app to download but the browser version loads fast and all the games load no problem. Played Book of Dead on my commute and didn’t notice any performance issues.
Customer service on Craybet is okay — live chat that gets you a person in under five minutes when I’ve used it. Had to ask about a bonus that didn’t credit and got it fixed pretty quickly. Licensing is Curacao licensed which is standard for US-friendly sites. Wouldn’t say it’s perfect — wish they had more payment options — but for what it is it does the job for me.
