Women from marginalised families in Kolkata and parts of the Sunderbans in the South 24-Parganas district are being provided sanitary pads in exchange of plastics. The idea is to cater to the menstrual hygiene of women, many of whom still depend on unhygienic alternatives and simultaneously raise their awareness about the harmful impact of plastics.
“Plastic for pads encourages an exchange of plastic waste from the house that, if not collected or segregated, would only continue to pollute the environment,” said Kavita Kajaria, the founder of the initiative called Green Pari.
“The women bring plastics, wrappers of chips and in return get reusable pads. The idea is to make them mindful of low-value plastic (less than 40 microns) and how it can be used differently.”
Several NGOs, which work in Kolkata and some districts of Bengal, are collaborating with Green Pari. The sanitary pads that are handed over are also made by underprivileged women.
The chain does not stop there. The plastics that these women collect are then used to make various embellishments for jute bags, cushion covers and mats.
These embellishments are also made by women from the lower-income group. “They are talented and with some guidance, they can produce excellent handicrafts,” said Kajaria.
Many of these women and their families suffered huge losses during the pandemic and the lockdown. “These women can earn by making these embellishments at home,” said Kajaria.

So I’ve been messing around on Craybet for like a couple months and wanted to share my experience since I haven’t seen much discussion about this place around here. Signed up randomly one night and registration literally took 90 seconds. Min deposit was ten bucks which is about what you’d expect. I grabbed a sign-up bonus — 100 percent match to $500 and fifty free spins on Sweet Bonanza. Wagering was 35x which could be lower but I’ve dealt with worse.
Game selection is decent honestly. You’ll find titles from Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, plus Microgaming — meaning Book of Dead, Gonzo’s Quest, the usual heavy hitters. I’d guess maybe a couple thousand titles when you add it all up. Live casino runs on Evolution and it’s smooth — tried blackjack and Crazy Time with actual croupiers and it worked great.
One thing that annoyed me a little was how long cashouts take. Tried cashing out with Visa and waited almost two days the first time. Once you’re verified though it dropped to like 24 hours. They accept credit cards, Skrill, Neteller, Bitcoin which covers most bases. You can check out their current offers at CrayBet if you’re interested.
Mobile experience on Craybet on my phone worked better than expected. No dedicated app — the web app runs well and everything works no problem. Played some slots in bed and no performance issues.
Customer service on Craybet is okay — live chat that actually connects in under five minutes when I’ve used it. Had to ask about my verification docs and they sorted it within hours. Licensing is Curacao licensed and that’s typical of US-friendly sites. Wouldn’t say it’s perfect — the bonus wagering could be lower — but for what it is I keep coming back.

So I’ve been using Craybet for roughly six weeks or so and thought I’d throw out what I think since I haven’t seen many posts about it in this forum. I signed up on a whim and signing up literally took two minutes. Min deposit was $10 which is normal for US-facing sites. They threw in a welcome bonus — 100% up to $500 plus 50 free spins on Gates of Olympus. Wagering was 35 times the bonus which isn’t amazing but it’s manageable.
Their slots catalog is decent honestly. There’s stuff from Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and Microgaming — meaning Book of Dead, Starburst, all the popular ones. Probably close to 1500-2000 slots when you add it all up. Live casino runs on Evolution and it’s smooth — played some baccarat and Crazy Time with actual croupiers and zero lag issues.
Now the one thing that kinda bugged me was how long cashouts take. I used Visa and waited like a day and a half the first time. Once you’re verified though it dropped to like 24 hours. You can use Visa, Mastercard, e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller, and crypto which covers most bases. I’d check out the full bonus details over at Craybet free spins before you sign up.
Using Craybet from my iPhone was surprisingly good. There’s no app to download — the web app runs well and all the games load no problem. Played Book of Dead on the bus and no problems.
Customer service on Craybet has been alright — there’s a chat widget and someone actually responds pretty quick when I’ve used it. Reached out once about a pending withdrawal and got it fixed pretty quickly. Licensing is Curacao licensed and that’s standard for offshore casinos. It’s not flawless — wish they had more payment options — but for what it is I’m still using it.

One thing I wasn’t thrilled about was how long cashouts take. Withdrew via Skrill and waited about 48 hours the first time. Second time around it was faster. Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller, and BTC which covers most bases. I’d check out their current offers on CrayBet if you’re interested.
