Masterbatches for Engineering Polymers made for general applications in plastic processing are found to be un-suitable for use in engineering polymers.The reasons could be :
- Non compatibility of carrier resin in the processed polymer.
- Degradation of carrier resin in polymer due to high processing temperature.
- Colourants should be able to withstand processing temperatures and exhibit other fastness properties.
- Degradation in mechanical properties of the final product.
